Lil WayneRapper opens up on Cash Money lawsuit

Lil Wayne speaks for the very first time since filing a $51 million lawsuit against Cash Money.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, the Young Money boss shed some light on his highly publicized fallout with Birdman.
While he once considered the Cash Money founder a father figure, the two are no longer on speaking terms. “I have no words,” Wayne tells the magazine. “I’m super-numb to it, to tell you the truth.”
But he admits that the lawsuit has taken a toll on him. “I’m human,” says Wayne. “But it’s nothing that a good blunt can’t cure.”
He finished recording ‘Tha Carter V’ a few months ago, but a release date still looms. ‘It’s super-done,’ he reveals. “Cake baked, icing on top, name on top, candles lit. I would have released it yesterday if I could. But it’s a dead subject right now. It’s a jewel in the safe. It’s that stash-house money.”
He enjoys younger artists like Rae Sremmurd and Migos, but admits that his age is starting to show. “Sometimes I don’t know what the hell they’re talking about on Instagram,” he laughs. When that occurs, he turns to his 16-year-old daughter,‎ Reginae: “I had to call her, like, ‘What the hell is ‘on fleek’?”
Wayne previously announced plans to retire after Tha Carter V, but he’s having second thoughts. “I’ve thought about it,’"he says. "But for a person like me that bleeds, eats, sleeps, and shits music, it’s hard to do.’

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo and APC Presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has endorsed the Presidential ambition of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Muhammadu Buhari.
Obasanjo announced is support for Buhari on Tuesday, February 10, during the launch of his controversial autobiography “My Watch” in Nairobi, Kenya.
Obasanjo has in recent times been vocal about his displeasure with the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.
“The circumstances he (Buhari) will be working under if he wins the elections are different from the one he worked under before, where he was both the executive and the legislature – he knows that. He is smart enough. He is educated enough. He’s experienced enough. Why shouldn’t I support him?” Obasanjo said during an interview with The financial times.
Obasanjo also condemned the postponement of the general election and criticized Jonathan for the current state of the Nigerian army.
“It is a question of leadership – political and military. I think you need to ask Jonathan how he let the army go to this extent. Many things went wrong: recruitment went wrong; training went wrong; morale went down; motivation was not there; corruption was deeply ingrained; and welfare was bad,” the former President said.
Speaking on the poll shift, Obasanjo urged the President to put the interests of the nation ahead of his own.
“I sincerely hope that the President is not going for broke and saying ‘look dammit, it’s either I have it or nobody has it’. I hope that we will not have a coup. I hope we can avoid it,” he said.
Obasanjo’s controversial autobiography is currently banned in Nigeria due to a pending court action.

Jonathan urges Nigerians to accept election postponement President Goodluck Jonathan urged Nigerians to accept the adjustment of the election dates by INEC in good faith.

 President Goodluck Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan has spoken out on the postponement of the 2015 general election  by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Jonathan urged Nigerians to accept the adjustment of the election dates by INEC in good faith.
The President said this via statement released on Sunday, February 8, by his media aide, Reuben Abati. It reads:
Following the adjustment of the dates for the 2015 general elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from February 14 and 28 to March 28 and April 11, yesterday, President Goodluck Jonathan has reassured the nation of his commitment to the sanctity of May 29, 2015 as the terminal date of his first term in office.  He strongly reaffirms that May 29 is, has been, and will remain sacrosanct.
The President appeals to all stakeholders to accept the adjustment of the election dates by INEC in good faith, as the electoral body has a responsibility to conduct credible elections in which every Nigerian of voting age is afforded the opportunity to exercise their civic right without any form of  hindrance.
President Jonathan believes that this is not a time to trade blames or make statements that may overheat the polity, but a time to show understanding and support the electoral commission to conduct the elections successfully.
It is the President’s understanding that INEC’s decision ought not to generate acrimony since it acted within its powers under the law and in consultation with all relevant stakeholders.
He calls on the international community, civil society and the electorate to continue to support the administration’s commitment to a free, fair, credible, and non-violent electoral process
